- Tall and lean; most have dark hair and tan skin; nearly all have olive green, brown or mixed eyes.
- In spare time play ocarinas, use small magic to help plants/flowers grow, or sing with the birds, etc
- Eat most anything besides meat (though they do eat fish), sometimes get bread, wine, or ingredients from ogres, even though they dispise ogres.
- Usually forage for an make their own foods; gather water from streams running through the forest
- No alternate means of transportation
- Build watchtowers and great walls around city to gaurd agains trolls; have long rope bridges across city
- Very patient and mild-tempered.
- Army is led by the Head Grunikat Rider and the Centurian night (see Special Terms and Positions page for details), with various other leaders under their command to organize the army.
- Constantly haunted by trolls around their borders, and pestered by occasional goblin nuisances, but otherwise no specific enemies
- Leader is the King or Queen, who comes to power usually though inheritance, but if this option is not available, will be selected by the royal family and is usally a trustworthy friend known for their leadership skills, loyalty, and wisdom.
- Qualities valued within their society include: honesty, loyalty, hospitality, and companionship.
- For a living, individuals travel, gaurd the city, work in the kitchens, educate the young, and help construct the city among many other useful occupations
- Not very competitive, but quite playful
- Most people don't know (even most of the elves themselves are not aware) that they can summon dragons. However, this summoning succeeds only in the even that the dragon is willing to come, and the wisest and most powerful almost never answer the call unless by one of the royalty in a time of great need and desperation. The dragons also may choose to obey any other commands as they will, but this often depends on what is asked, and their relationship with the summoner (very few dragons would attack another individual if commanded unless given a very good reason to, or in protection of their summoner. (So basically, the elves can't just call a bunch of dragons to wipe out all trolls, 'cause the dragons won't))
- Elves are knowledgable of other races, and keep fairly up-to-date with current events (due to the popularity of travel and hospitility), but generally don't involve themselves in others' affairs without some form of significant bond between themselves and the others, or a good reason.
- When meeting a stranger, they usually try to be friendly, and often share a meal and talk to learn more before parting ways
- Most live in one of several large cities in the forest, but another large percentage are travellers or adventurers, and can be found most anywhere on the Western Hemisphere.
